Jeff Poon

Design Strategist - Sensible Strategy Limited

If today’s logistic AIs are problematic, what will be arriving tomorrow? Reflections from last-mile delivery driving

Learnings developed from a personal 13-day last-mile parcel delivery work experience, with in-depth accounts on constant battles against AI-induced issues. When repeated and accumulated, workers’ wellbeing and agency are impacted while society pays a price directly and indirectly.

Looking deeper, these issues are the result of how work tool innovations are conceived, developed, implemented and managed. If we don’t take initiative to make foundational changes, tomorrow’s last-mile delivery service (and any other real-time services) could be even more problematic.
